James Owen Sullivan atau lebih dikenal dunia sebagai "The Rev" adalah sang penggebuk drum grup band Avenged Sevenfold.
Lahir pada tanggal 10 Februari 1981
Dan pergi meninggalkan kita pada 28 Desember 2009, tepat setahun yang lalu.
Dia meninggalkan seorang istri bernama Leana MacFadden atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama Leana Silver.

The Rev yang semasa mudanya dikenal sebagai anak muda yang nakal, dan berkali-kali masuk penjara karena tindakan kriminalnya, merupakan Drummer terbaik dunia ke-9.
Rumor mengatakan "The Rev" penyebab kematian The Rev karena overdosis, namun berita mengenai kebenarannya pun masih simpang siur.

The Rev bukan hanya seorang drummer,"Ini kabar yang sangat menyedihkan dan berat untuk disampaikan bahwa hari ini Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan telah tiada," tulis manajemen Avenged Sevenfold dalam pernyataan resminya.

"Jimmy tak hanya merupakan salah satu penggebuk drum terbaik di dunia. Lebih dari itu, dia adalah sahabat dan saudara terbaik," tulisnya lagi.

We would like to thank all of Jimmy’s fans for the heartfelt comments that have been posted – it is comforting to know that his genius and antics were appreciated and that he was loved so much. Our hearts are broken – he was much too young to fall.
